Bas has been an attorney since 1990. Initially, he practised corporate law. From 1996 onwards he has been combining his extensive corporate law knowledge with employment law. He mostly advises on -and loves- reorganisation, redevelopment and corporate transitions (including Koninklijke BAM Groep, BAT, Hewlett-Packard, IKEA). A pro in fathoming and guiding organisational changes, stemming from his background as a corporate lawyer. He knows how to translate these fast and efficiently into crystal clear legal frameworks. He advises and counsels employers from a solid, substantive framework and is undoubtedly to the point.
Bas assists and represents HR partners and upper management in mass redundancies, collective labour agreements and participation rights. Better than anyone, he anticipates the consequences, both regarding employment law and a broader scope for the organisation itself. He also acts as a guidance counsellor in (statutory) directors’ dismissals.
